Care at Home

Optimum Care - Domiciliary Home Care Northern Ireland
We Care because you matter

At Optimum Care we have been providing care at home throughout Northern Ireland since 1993. We understand how important it is to live in the comfort of your own home as independently as possible. Our home care services are designed to help you remain in the comfort of your own home and surroundings.

As a client of Optimum Care you will have your own individual ‘package of care’ to meet your needs.  We work with you, your family and your Care Manager to deliver our care services.

How we care for you...

As an Optimum Care client you will have your own ‘Package of Care’ agreed with your Care Manager or Social Worker.  You will receive a copy of the ‘Care Plan’, which you keep at home to refer to.  Any changes to this will be notified to you by your Care Manager and agreed with you.  In any case, there will be formal reviews carried out at regular intervals with you, your Care Manager and a representative from Optimum Care present.

A ‘Record and Information File’ will also be left at your home for staff to document their visits and will contain contact information for you and your family or nominated person.

Your package of care may range from one companion session per wekk to a full seven day, several calls per day package.  If you feel you need more care than Social Services will provide, just give us a call and we can arrange this directly with you.  Equipment such as ‘Zimmers’, hoists and hospital beds will be made available to you based on your assessment of need by the Social Services Multi-disciplinary Team.   If you are referred to us by Social Services, equipment is provided by them.

Aranging Your Own Care

You may be a ‘Private’ Client and come to us direct for services.  In this case, the procedure is the same, however, you will be responsible for the provision of any special equipment that is necessary for your care and we will make arrangements direct with you for payment of fees.

Our Carers

We recognise that our service is only as good as the staff who provide the care.  First and foremost from our staff we expect Teamwork & Partnership, Quality & Best Practice, Openness & Honesty, and most importantly, Kindness, Understanding and Respect.

We invest heavily in training.  Many of our staff hold National Vocational Qualifications, but all are trained on our in house training programme covering all areas of care we provide.  This training is updated and reviewed every six months and our Carers attend regular training sessions.

All our Carers are vetted by Access NI and fully trained by our internal Training Team with a vast experience in home and nursing care.  We strive to provide you with the best and most professional care services working alongside your family and other health care professionals.
